Rate these movie versions of The Cat and the Canary on a scale of 1-10

The 1930 version with Helen Twelvetrees has been left out, because it has been lost to the ravages of time. As has the accompanying Spanish version with Lupita Tovar.

The 1961 Swedish version with Lena Granhagen has also been left out, but I do not know if any copy of it circulates anywhere, or if it has also been lost to the ravages of time. Anyways what do you people think about each of these versions of The Cat and the Canary on a scale of 1-10?

1927 silent version (American-made with Laura La Plante)

1939 version and its 1940 sequel The Ghost Breakers (Both American-made films with Bob Hope and Paulette Goddard)

1978 version (British-made with Honor Blackman)

From oldest to newest: 10, 9, 7. The Hollywood's Attic version of the 1939 film has color posters and lobby cards on the DVD as an extra feature!

I just wanted to say that there was a TV version of this. Maybe there are more. The one I am referring to is the 1960 'Dow Hour of Great Mysteries.' It has Hortense Alden and Jack Betts and Sheldon Reynolds in it. I wish I could find out if this episode still exists somewhere.
