Dame May Whitty's Character

At first I couldn't stand the old lady. It all changed when I saw her stand up to get the chocolates. I realized that everyone was acting. Danny, Olivia, and even the old lady were just acting. It was heartbreaking to see her screaming for Danny and laughing nervously as he made here drink some liquor. I felt so sorry for her and was hoping that Danny would not do what I knew he was going to do. What a great movie and I am glad to have caught it on TMC. Dame May Whitty was incredible.

She was great in this film, especially the part she starts to panic when she thought she was left alone. And then that last scene with Danny, that slight hysteria, and him making her drink, I was hoping the same thing too, "Please don't kill her!"

Dame May's character was certainly cantankerous at first but Danny's charm brought a change in the old lady. Then when get the scares we have gotten to see all of Dame May's acting skills as her character takes on another change.
