This movie is...

...sad, depressing and pointless. If you like sad and depressing all you need to do is to watch the evening news. Movies should entertain and uplift. This movie is the opposite of "The Shop Around the Corner" which was Steward and Sullavan at their best. "The Mortal Storm" is a Steward/Sullavan film that has a sad ending but at least the characters show some heroism and the movie has some point to it. There is none of that in this film.
