Great Movie But....(spoilers)

I stopped feeling bad for him when he displayed that special level of stupid and decided to return to the chain gang despite the torture and against the lawyers advice. That is a very special kind of stupid. He should have simply agreed to spend the days in an Illinois jail, or simply told them to F off and stay in Illinois. No halfway intelligent person would trust these animals to keep their word.
