Willy's father is blaming him for spending his money,
and Willy says if I were a man in your position I would
feel good about having my money spent as I have.
That's not right, but there is some good banter
between the two, and I wish I had written that down.

Just watching this now on TCM, I'm a little sleepy so I'm missing a lot of the good lines, it goes by fast.
I tried catching yours but only managed to get what came right after it...

Yeah, I was surprised that this craftsmanship of this movie stands up today so well.
It's hilarious and there are so many good old movies like this, they are treasures.
Frederick Lonsdale is credited with the story and he was a popular playwright in London at this time. TCM seems to ignore Ronald Colman which is odd as he was a big star during the Golden Age of Hollywood and made a lot of good films -- he would seem a natural for Star of the Month, maybe it will happen. Meanwhile they did show four of his films on October 6 -- the only one I had not seen before was The Devil to Pay which has a lot of charm, due to Mr. Colman's performance. Fun to see Myrna Loy and Loretta Young as his love interests. Sorry I can't remember the exact quote either.
shareAh ... 11 years ago and I am back in another disguise. Yeah, Ronald Colman was awesome, or rather he picked movies that were good, and that showed off his talent well. One of the few actors where any movie he is in has a high probability of being really good.

shareI remember that, lots of clever banter. This movie and the movies of this time are so good. We have a local theater that plays these old movies and this one comes out of the archives every so often I always want to see it.
