My thoughts (Spoilers)

I must admit that I think this is the first silent film I have watched the whole way through. I must have been picking the wrong ones because this movie kept me entertained. I found it interesting that Mary Pickford played both roles, that of Stella and of Unity. I wouldn't have been able to tell at all. They did not look anything at all alike. The movie was tragic in that Unity died in the end after all she had endured, but she was also the hero of the story because she let John go free from his evil wife. I guess divorce was illegal in those times? It was happy and sad.
