Her bio says she is a martial art champion? Apparently she did karate in high school and some competitions.
But do anyone know more about this background? Did seh do the karate equivalent of ballet, i.e. Shotokan, or some more serious styles like Goju-ruy / Kyokushinkai? Not to bad mouth shotokan, but I hardly consider it a martial art. Its more like form walking than actual fighting.

Rina is training Shórin style karate, which is one of the major Okinawa Karate styles. (the other being Shotokan). It is neither hard nor soft (unlike the soft Shotokan). She has a 2nd Dan (2nd degree black belt) in this style.
Don´t get me wrong, I still see Karen as a real martial artist, I was just annoyed by the "champion" part of the description.
But if she really trains for a black belt under Kykushinkai rules, she has to fight in real full contact tournaments, cause this is one of the prerequisites to obtain one.
Maybe its different out of IKO1, und which I trained, but as fas as I know every Kyokushinkai practicioner has to fight in order to reach higher levels. Even the celebrities like Dolph Lungdren.
