1.75 Billion in digital coins has been stolen by his North Korean hacker team in trading exchanges. That is about 10% of it's defense budget.

The team gained access to escrow/trader accounts from what is known known as "Hot Wallets", because they are connected to the internet and contain Bitcoin. All they have to do is spear- fish a key admin to get access to YOUR hot wallet private keys.

Once the crypto- currency is gone, there is no getting it back.
