What happens if they join a group?

So let's say they join the AA and I want to talk about it. Like, they met and it was difficult for them to get along because they had different ideas how to cope with alcoholism. So they suggested to them that they'd have to be patient and they would see improvement for themselves in the future and they appreciated that idea.
