What the hell is going on over at urban dictionary? Mid is literally short for middle or middling. It literally means average. Ugh.
It is kinda derogatory.
In our country we use mediocre as a slur ... which makes no sense since it just means common.
I guess in US is even worse since everyone badly wants to be special ...
It is derogatory in context. In other words, so many people seem to think she's so hot and perfect, but she's mid - meaning less than what she's perceived to be. However, defining it as "below average or low quality" is not accurate in any way, even in context.
In context, calling a Hollywood starlet average is derogatory, yes.
I don't see how anyone can find Margot Robbie "mid" or even average. She is clearly beautiful and above average. That being said, I don't think it is misogynistic for someone to say they don't think a woman is attractive. If a woman were to say that Ryan Gosling was mid or average or below looking, I don't think that would be offensive either.
shareFacially, she is absolutely stunning. Most men calling her mid are either trolling for attention, or their primary focus is on the body. In which case, Margot needs help with wardrobe to be top tier.
This conversation came up a lot early on when a lot of conversation compared her to Jaime Pressley. Facially, she's more feminine and classically beautiful than Jaime. But Jaime has a smoking hot body.
In comparison for body shape, some may find Margot mid. It is a valid opinion. However, I still stand by my original statement that most are just trolling for attention.
What a garbage post/article... "White men bad", as the usual narrative is from the rabid woke-ists.
But she's definetly not mid at all, and a good actress to boot.
