She's a superhero and is inhumanly powerful thus her being slim is irrelevant.

Physique has a major impact on how powerful characters look. Men should be very muscular, but women shouldn’t because it makes them look like men.
Women should be fit and full figured. That’s why the comics have portrayed WW and other heroines in that way in most cases.
Neither should look thin and sickly like Gadot. She looks like an anorexic 10 year old.
And her acting sucks! Her lack of talent and physique make her a lousy choice for WW.

Superman could be a midget and still work. He can fly and shoot laserbeams from his eyes. He's basically indestructible.
Gal doesn't look sickly. Anorexic 10 year old? Obesity is at an all time high and is obviously morphing the standards as perceived by yourself and others, she has a normal figure. Don't let the obesity crisis delude you.
It's particularly funny seeing some people slam Gal and praise Lynda Carter. Lynda has bigger breasts and that's about it. Gal presents as a more physically capable WW. It does seem like a lot of this just comes down to breast size for many people.
