50 Shades tarnished him as an actot

I've never read the books, but I can tell from the get go that the actor that portrays him is set up to fail. Christian Grey just seems like a honestly sh*t character. Whereas Dornan is a fine actor, who has done fantastic things in his career. Most people just think of Jamie as a handsome, yet talentless man, after that film.

Exactly. That character was trashy. Every actor who was appoarched for the role bashed the script. Again I have to say Jamie was short sighted because he didn't see what The Fall can make him and he rushed. What done is done. Right now Jamie is doing good. Anthropoid and Jadotville were completely show his amazing acting skills.

I agree on the script but I actually think Jamie was quite good as Christian Grey. I've said this before and I'll say it again: Christian Grey was a tightly wound, damaged character. Jamie played him as such with controlled movement and with his eyes.

I read an interview he had given not so long ago...he said they all felt so much better this time around...Jamie said he and Dakota were much more at ease, knew what to expect...and that the movie was a financial block buster, that they felt that pressure was off..new director and screenwriter...and honestly, the last two books were way better stories...with happier endings...think many will be surprised..and I agree...Jamie played Christian exactly how he was in the books.

I think it's the whole crappy fifty shades movie. He was very good in The Fall. Charlie Hunnam dropped out and I have read where the script was an issue. And, lets face it those books were not the greatest. The grammer was atrocious and the tone of the story is so lacking. I think Jamie Dornan did what he was paid to do. Look good and be as wooden as Christian was in the books.

All's not lost. With time and perseverance, he can buff that stain out to the point people will forget it was ever there. It seems all consuming now, because we're in the moment, but nothing lasts forever. Maybe, if he gets better reviews from Darker, that could ultimately open a couple extra doors for him in the near future, doors that will take him to that next level.

I'd say it opened doors for him. He's had twice as many projects in the 4 years since the project ended than he did in the 18 years of his career before they began

reply

Yep. He's still steadily getting roles today. Dakota Johnson may find her career ravaged in the wake of Madame Webb though
