Why she left? Does anyone ACTUALLY know?

I looked briefly. I didn't see anything but speculation. Some were speculating that it was to have a family. Others think that she wasn't offered enough money. It didn't look like it was money because they said they offered her a lot and it didn't matter. Someone suggested she wanted time off.

A lot of performing artists like to expand themselves and that was my first thought. Some only try to get a different sort of acting role. A lot of actors sing and dance or singers act. Maybe she wanted to see family in South America. Maybe she wanted to explore hobbies like painting, sculpting, hiking or boating... Who knows? Unless she said somewhere.

Even though Ziva was my favorite, I love Abby, Gibbs, Mr. Palmer and Dr. Duck. I will watch to see them... (I didn't forget Tony. I'm just pretty ambivalent towards him). If she does other stuff, I will definitely check that out, too.

Cote, this fan wishes you luck with whatever you do.

its all just rumors. more then likeky we will never know for sure.

I'm sure we'll know for sure sometime, it's likely one or two of the usual reasons being floated around. I doubt it's anything shocking, like she's dying or going to prison!

If her roots are musical theater then it's probably been a long seven years for her on a regular TV role.

"And Agent Jarreau... don't question me again."

I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't think it's just money.

I wish we knew but I don't think we'll ever find out. I hope her career goes well. I don't want to watch the first two episodes in September. I don't want to cry.

See, even though some people do musical theatre, most artists love and are at least proficient at more than just one craft. I did some acting but I also can sing, dance and draw. I would love to take courses in pottery and painting, too. I'm sure I would be good at it. I'm actually stereo blind so that also makes me good at art because I actually see in two dimension, but that's because of a childhood accident and not related to my genetically driven interest in music and theatre...

Ok, yeah that was a bit of a tangent.

She said that she was leaving to focus more on her relationship with her boyfriend (most likely to start a family) and her family. Mostly her peoples back in Chile. She stated this in Latina Magazine.

reply

Yeah, it will be sad to see her go.

I read in an article somewhere back in the summer that she would be working on a movie. Perhaps there is hope that she will be back, which is why they didn't kill her off, but left it open.

I certainly hope she comes back. She was part of the show that made it great, and although I love all the other characters, her absence is sorely felt.
