Chris Hemsworth recently told MTV News that its still happening. Hope its true!

Star Trek Beyond was a BIT of a let down (not terrible but not up to par with the other two). I blame Justin Lin(the director) and whoever wrote the uninspiring script.

I want Star Trek to bounce back with another entertaining sequel . Those are really fun films for the most part and Pine kicks ass as Capt Kirk .

I think it's a slap in the face of the current cast to bring back Hemsworth, as if the current cast isn't interesting/inspiring enough to make storylines around.

As for Beyond, it has its flaws...but I'll take it over Into Darkness any day.

Actually I'm excited about Hemsworth being on screen with pine but that's just my dream.
I really think they can do something pretty good with this but we'll have to wait and see.

You can look it up, but Pine's reaction didn't seem welcoming of having Kirk's dad reappear. I don't remember the exact quote.

The only thing good in any of these movies was the first few minutes of the first re-boot where Bruce Greenwood ( I think is his name ) played Kirk's father. Then it descending into ever increasing stupidity. I hate these reboot stories.

I've read a few reports on Chris being interviewed about Hemsworth's return and he sounded quite excited and interested about that idea.

He is a little on the fence on that, he is excited to work with Hemsworth but he also was happy for that character arc to end. I hope they come up with a story he will be proud of.

Exactly.

I hope they think a little outside the box on this and don't go for the easy time traveling story line.

I feel the time travel is exactly what the writers will go towards. More reason to give Hemsworth more screen time.

I don't think I've ever enjoyed a time travel arc on any show or movie. It just comes off as corny.
