Blackbeard

Just wanted to say that I think he does a great job as Blackbeard in 'Black Sails'. His introductory scene gave me goosebumps... 

Hes a very good character actor who just happens to be built like a brick *beep* and have various fighting skills.Toby Stephens the same with a smaller build.Produces very classy pirates!

As a Norwegian I'm not sure what you were trying to say after 'brick' still, but I'm glad you agree with me about Ray Stevenson :) I'm a male, so I don't look for how built other men are :P

I mainly know him from 'Rome', and there he played such a likeable character with kind eyes and a good heart, and from what I've read about Blackbeard he was just the same. He put fear into his 'enemies' by putting lit fuses under his hat, but it's never been documented that he hurt or killed any of his captives. He was a good guy despite his reputation. Sounds like a real joker too :)

Perfect casting, it seems :)

I agree with what you say Ray Stevenson make a solid Black beard but i cant really see anyone else but James Purefoy portraing blackbeard after watching BBC's Blackbeard.....If you seen it you know what i mean :)

He can kick Purefoy’s ass. He has 3O or more pounds on him, easy. Also, he has longer limbs, so more reach; thought that CAN result in slower delivery time due to a longer polar moment of inertia. I really like Purefoy, but, in a fight between Purefoy and Stephenson, it goes down to which one is the more intelligent.

A warrior has 3 qualities: strength, aggression and intelligence. With a strong adversary, you use his/her strength as a weapon, as Muhammad Ali did against George Foreman with is brilliant “rope a dope” strategy. The same thing with aggression. You enrage and sucker the aggressor to be INFURIATED against you, maybe by mocking him, as Ali did Foreman, which makes him SO ANGRY that he can’t think straight. The only counter that warrior has against an intelligent opponent is to be more intelligent. Few have that option available.
