No need for coat hangers

I first became aware of Rosalba Neri back when I was publishing a horror movie fanzine back in the 1990s, I'd get these unsolicited reviews for me to publish from a guy in Greece whose two big obsessions were WW2 weaponry and Rosalba Neri. Perhaps because English was a second language for him, he had a tendency to write out her in a flowery, over the top manner and would go about her 'sphinx like beauty' and refer to her as ''the girl with the nipples you could hang your coat on'. All of which tipped me off to her being someone whose spell I needed to fall under, and he was right, you'd never be in need of a coat hanger when Rosalba was about!

I wonder if Rosalba might actually be the only actress to have played both Dracula and Frankenstein, I know technically she only plays Dracula's widow in The Devil's Wedding Night, and Dr Frankenstein's daughter in Lady Frankenstein, but to all intents and purposes she is the Dracula and Frankenstein figures in those movies.

Good to see some appreciation for her. As a lover of Italian and exploitation cinema of the 70's, she shows up in a number of movies I like:

Jess Franco's "99 Women" (1969)
Jess Franco's "Marquis De Sade's Justine" (1969)
Smile Before Death (1972)
The French Sex Murders (1972)
The Devil's Wedding Night (1973)

Yes, she does enliven everything she is in. When I first started using the internet, one of the first people I ever reached out to by email was Mel Welles, who was very complementary about her, he adored Rosalba.
