I’m an avid fan of Kate Winslet and have seen the majority of her movies. However, having seen Blake Lively, in the "Gossip Girl", "Café Society" and in the recent "The Shallows", I have to confess she is the next great female talent on the rise. In fact, I predict she will eclipse Kate Winslet. Lively has all of Winslet’s acting talents along with being just as beautiful, plus she has a certain screen presence that Winslet doesn’t have. I would be curious if the readers would agree with me on this. It would be hard for me to understand why they wouldn’t.

BTW, I read that Lively performed her own water stunts in the Shallows. Something that Winslet wouldn’t be able to do

Just curious, but why do you say Blake Lively is not the equal of Winslet? Wouldn't you agree that she has every bit the acting talent and is just as beautiful, as Winslet?

Did you ever see her in Age of Adaline? She was amazing.

I dunno about the Winslet comparison, but I agree 100% with every thing else you said.
I'm enjoying Blake's choices.

Lively's on a roll and I can't wait to see All I See is You.

I also REALLY enjoy how this makes her haters almost deranged with rage.

I just think it's objectively true, not a matter of opinion, that Winslet is a superior actress. Lively seems one-dimensional to me, and, while Winslet disappears into her roles, when I see Lively on screen I think, "there's Blake Lively, playing herself. Lively also seems much more into being famous and everything that comes with it than Winslet does. Winslet, in my opinion, is an amazing actress whose fame is incidental to her talent's various manifestations, while Lively is a famous socialite who acts. There's more integrity to what Winslet does.

Blake, socialite? bitch you seem jealous. she barely even has famous friends. she doesnt party and doesnt attend anything other than cannes absically. nice try.

Winslet was nominated 5 times before she was 30. Jennifer Larence has 3 and a much bigger career than Livley.
