He's gonna be awesome in 50 Shades!

It seems I'm in the minority with being excited on the casting for Christian and Ana! Love both of these young actors and can't wait to see how this goes down (pun fully intended). Being directed by a woman--hope that keeps it from being too porno-eque. I truly think Charlie H is going to be smoldering hot, with the boyish innocence he had in the books. And Dakota Johnson (good grief, I remember when I read about her birth--is she seriously old enough to be doing this movie???) I think once folks see her in the dark hair and makeover, they'll be convinced. Do it!

How many idiotic, weak women are going to waste their lives on some emotionally retarded prick because they've read *beep* like this and think this kind of *beep* fairytale will come true for them?

How many little girls read Cinderella and grew into idiotic weak, women who believe a prince charming would rescue them from a dull/abusive/hard/boring/whatever life and whisk them away to a fairytale ending of wealth and happily ever after? This story is no different.

I'm tired of hearing people call it irresponsible storytelling. Of course this story it doesn't end well in real life. But that's why it's called fiction. Any women who's stupid enough to make bad choices in men just so she can live out some Christian Grey fantasy deserves the consequences she gets. Stop blaming the author for writing a fictional story! People need to take responsibility for their own lives, their own fantasies, and their own real life choices and mistakes.

The other thing I'm sick of hearing is how it doesn't represent the BDSM lifestyle. Who cares if it's an accurate representation? I'm sure there are plenty of people claiming to be into the BDSM lifestyle who aren't doing it "correctly," just like there are a lot of regular people who aren't doing their normal lifestyles correctly.

Everyone just calm down already. We're not little children that believe in fairytale endings. And if we do, that's on us, not on some author who wrote a fictional book. If only "responsible" or "realistic" stories made it to books or films, we'd have a very narrow selection of "entertainment." You might as well just stay your butt home and stick your head in the dirt.
