He's gonna be awesome in 50 Shades!

It seems I'm in the minority with being excited on the casting for Christian and Ana! Love both of these young actors and can't wait to see how this goes down (pun fully intended). Being directed by a woman--hope that keeps it from being too porno-eque. I truly think Charlie H is going to be smoldering hot, with the boyish innocence he had in the books. And Dakota Johnson (good grief, I remember when I read about her birth--is she seriously old enough to be doing this movie???) I think once folks see her in the dark hair and makeover, they'll be convinced. Do it!

Haha everyone's entitled to an opinion. Sure hope the naysayers are proven wrong. :) hope they actually go see the movie instead of being critical without seeing the final product

The books were overrated and all around garbage. Christian Grey is a controlling creepy pedobear stalker with an Oedipus complex. Just Christina Bale in American Psycho made into boyfriend material. Why would people bother seeing a film of it when the books sucked? The only plus is that the books were so bad the movie couldn't possibly be worse. But is that really saying much?

I have to agree with ya on that. I read the books because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. And frankly, I thought the same thing about the main character....and couldn't believe I continued reading simply because I don't like to NOT finish something I start and because I kept thinking something was going to change in his behavior. LOL a little nuts, to be sure, but at least the books were so simple, it only took a few days to get thru the series and move on with my life.
Still have a good feeling that Charlie Hunman will bring a sensitivity to the character that the books were unable to humanize.

I'm just ready for this movie to happen so that we can move on past it. Twilight is finally getting there. Last summer was the worst when I literally couldn't go ONE day without hearing about this crap in some form or another even without seeking it out.
