Started her career as May Karasun

Recently saw an actress named Kay Karasun in the 1993 film Lake Consequences and thought she was hot, especially stark naked and wet (which she was most of the movie). So looked her up on IMDB and after appearing in two more roles, where she is also naked, she seemed to vanish after doing a 1995 episode of Red Shoe Diaries.

Did some research and apparently she starred in two episodes of Red Shoes diaries that year, but changed her name in the second. In the first episode (Billy Bar), she is credited as May Karasun. But two episodes later (Cowboy, Cowboy), she is listed as Hollie L. Hummel, and then starts a whole new IMDB listing under that name.

I say that, because a couple of sites, including Celebrity Movie Archive, point out that she has been listed under both names. But, while I’ve seen actresses change names before, they usually stick with one IMDB profile and just point out the credit changes per role. But not in this case.

Maybe whoever set up her profiles didn’t realize they were one in the same. But thankfully, May/Hollie kept acting — and stripping off her clothes (for awhile anyway).
