Whatever happened to him?

I just saw responded to a post on "Casualties Of War" and saw Don Harvey's name. I thought he was excellent in this movie and I really liked his performance in "Eight Men Out," plus he had a role playing a young police officer in "The Untouchables" as well.

But then...he just disappeared. I've always wondered what happened to him, because I thought he was a fine actor. His situation is awfully similar to another actor from that time period named David Niedorf, who was in 3 of my favorite movies back then ("Hoosiers," "Platoon," and "Bull Durham"), only to disappear (If I remember correctly, I think I read an article some years back that he left Hollywood to become a professional poker player).

Anyway, there aren't any posts for Don Harvey here, but I wanted to post and say how much I enjoyed his performances that I saw of his in the late 1980s.

don is good actor. i have seen him in many film. he is in good film i recommence called 'beast of war' which is about russian tank in afghan war. i am fan of tv show king of queens and he is in episode of that. he seem to appear in a lot of places.

i do not think he disappear. he mostly play bad man so he get typecast which makes things hard for actor. so he forced to do film with lower and lower budget. but at least he around and not like poor soul corey haim.

i most remember don as one of the henchman from die hard 2. he was friend with bruce willis in real life and bruce cast him in one of his film hudson hawks (which i think is underrate).

i know david neidorf because of film i forget name of, where he play undercover narc in high school with jennifer jason lee, even though he look 35 hahahahh. he is good actor too yes. i dont think don is like this man who retire. don still working?

there are many great actor from 1980s who vanish. many who dont are usually forced to do direct to video feature which is demeaning for there talent but better than nothing.
