It's a typical Robert Altman film.
Terrific cast! All of the actors who played singers actually wrote their own songs and performed them.
Karen Black was a great singer too. If you ever saw her in Five Easy Pieces a few years earlier, her singing talents were evident in that.
Kieth Carradine also won an Oscar for the song, I'm Easy.
