Greenwood - excellent as Christopher Pike in the Star Trek movie

But overall I have to dislike the movie because of the stupid plot and alternative time line gimmick that Abrams seems to not be able to do anything without.

It is not the actor's fault though, and Greenwood and all the rest of the crew were fantastic.

What I liked about Greenwood's Pike was that he was not the usual cardboard cut-out Starship captain that gets portrayed as an incompetent imbusile to make Kirk look better. Pike was on the job and did a great and courageous job as the captain and as a mentor to young Kirk.

Too bad about the movie though. Maybe he'll get another chance.
