Are most of his films good in your opinion?

He did the (average but fairly watchable) Steven Seagal action thriller "The Glimmer Man" (1996) with a 5.4 ratings but some of his other films have reasonably above average IMDb ratings like 6.5 or even 7.0 like "The Hunley" (1999), The Day Lincoln Was Shot (1999) (a 7.0), A Place for Annie (1994) (7.2 for a seemingly made for TV drama, not bad) and even some of his short films are rated pretty highly, some of them with a score of 8.0 or so...

So is he a generally talented little known director from Hollywood, are most of those films (to be fair, I have so far only seen "The Glimmer Man" but may have seen bits of one or two of his other works) really worth watching and what about his other works like with those below a 6.0 IMDb rating?

Cheers.
