I've always been iffy about Franco. Definitely one of those actors I've had a love/hate relationship for. When you think he's a decent actor, he'll then decide to star in some total shlockfest garbage movie or series that makes you hate him so bad you wanna punch his face.

Recently though, I watched 11 22 63 on Hulu. I was absolutely blown away but his performance in it. Great performance, likable character, he really nailed it. I am now convinced this guy DOES have talent and can be a good lead star. He just needs to stop with taking on garbage roles. I'm looking at his credits on IMDB now; the guys got like 900 things in production/post-production for 2016. Now I understand wanting to stay busy and make money, but this guy seems to take every role offered to him mo matter how good or bad. I bet at least half of those upcoming shows/movies are gonna be total shlock... 😢

He's abysmal in that Show.

While it was one of his best, it doesn't say much. I though he was a horrible casting choice, but then he produced it. That dismayed me when word came out on both his roles in bringing the novel to the big screen.

It's my opinion, but I know for a fact it is shared by many.
