What was the first thing you saw him in?

I would say in the second Austin Powers, it was a fairly brief and silent role so he didn't leave a major impression. I became more familiar with Kevin's work after Smokin' Aces and when I had re-watched the second Austin Powers a few years back I was like "Kevin Durand? * Checks IMDb* Yep, it is."

Stargate SG-1. Man I miss the various Stargate shows. Anyway, I didn't start crushing on him until Lost. Boy oh boy was he evil in that, but he did make good eggs!

I can't swim.

Probably Dead Like Me. It was a small part in just one episode, but he was memorable because of his height - he towered over the petite Jasmine Guy. Also his scenes were very funny. So then I remembered his face too, and for years afterward he was a "Hey, It's That Guy!" to me. And somewhere along the line, I learned his name.

"You are NOT the boss of me... SHE is."

First thing I saw him in? Austin Powers & Mystery, Alaska. Loved his Nickname in Mystery, Alaska, "Tree". Stargate SG-1 is when I really started to pay attention to him. It was his performance in Dead Like Me that made me a fan. Seeing him do comedy made me realize he was more than just a generic, "Threatening big guy". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPP8aAkrSU0
