Too many teeth for his mouth?

Have you ever noticed that Gerard sometimes really struggles to get all his words out?

Some might put it down to acting ability but for me it looks like a real genuine physical affliction. Could it be possible when sorting his mouth out for Hollywood (he comes from Paisley, where the average adult male has about eight teeth which haven't been punched out or rotted) they simply added in too many teeth?

I think that may explain the problems he has when moving his mouth.
