Robert Richardson

I recently rewatched The Usual Suspects recently and it was remarkable how much that flick resembled Richardson's movies, despite Sigel being the one who filmed it. The use of 'halo' lighting, diffusion filters, high contrast and high resolution lenses, pastel colors, etc.

But according to imdb and wikipedia, Sigel served as second unit DP on several of Richardson's films, such as Wall Street and Casino.

I suppose it should not be altogether surprising if perhaps Richardson was a bit of a mentor to Sigel, and thus influenced the latter man's own work.
