Why so underutilized?

I LOVE Julia, why is she so underutilized?!

I agree. She has presence and I would think her unique style should get her more jobs but may be she's incredibly selective.

Wondering that myself. She is great, surprised she hasn't been in more high profile projects.

she doesnt have the boring, shallow look Hollywood worships, nor does she choose money making movies in lieu of her usual interesting/artsy ones. She is so underrated while talentless hacks like Jennifer Lawrence get endless undeserved praise for their "acting" and looks.

"I do pretend I am a princess, so that I can try and behave like one."

It is rumored that Julia Stiles got blacklisted after her affair with Michael C Hall. She was experiencing a resurgence in her career after guest-starring on Dexter as she quickly nabbed both Golden Globe and SAG nominations for her role but then....complete inactivity. She's now relegated to playing an aging prostitute on a web series.

The person who was behind the stories that led to her ban, Jennifer Carpenter, went on to steal another man's husband and now she's currently engaged and recently delivered her first child with said man.

You left out one thing. When Julia starred in Dexter, she had an on-set affair with Michael C. Hall. His wife, if you remember, played the sister of Dexter so it was right in her face. All hell broke loose and Julia’s part was cut from a 2–3 season role to a 1 season role (which is why the season after hers really sucked. A whole different arc had been planned.) Afterwards Hall and his wife, Jennifer Carpenter, were divorced but Jennifer had it out for Julia, as did the rest of the cast and crew. Julia’s rep in H’wood took a big hit after that.

Which really isn’t fair. Michael C. Hall was a producer on Dexter at that point. He was her boss. He was married. He should have taken the backlash, not Stiles, but who wants to take on the showrunner?

Some people in the industry still frown upon any(white) actress who'd willingly bed Blacks in any role. Sad but true.

When theres no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.

GLAD YOU AREN'T HERE ANYMORE.🙄

This is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read.

For the life of me, I do not believe that. No. That's certainly not the reason.
