Cyclops or Gaurdians of the Galaxy

Waiting to hear if he will be returning to his role as Cyclops in Days of Future Past or do you think he will get the chance to be the lead actor in Gaurdians of the Galaxy, they are deciding between 8 actors and he is among them.

I have always wanted to see him return as Cyclops and get the screen time he deserves along with the character but now that he has a chance to be the lead actor in Gaurdians of the Galaxy where you know his role wouldn't be screwed and he would get plenty of screen time and finally get to show his leadership skills. Unless he somehow will be able to pull both roles off, that would be awesome!

Im really hoping he at least gets one of those roles, he would do great and I think its time for him to shine!

Hopefully we get some news soon. Fingers crossed for him.

By the sound of things Days of Future Past seems like it will try to combine every past X-Men film and set things right once and for all as far as continuity is concerned...Not too mention starting off Fox's own shared Marvel movie-verse( Like what Disney/Marvel have done with The Avengers so far). It makes sense that they would try to approach Marsden to reprise the role of Cyclopes, but didn't he die in X-3? Or are they intending to retcon that? Cyclopes was never portrayed right in any of the X-Men movies, he always played as second banana to Wolverine and some of the other mutants on the team, I'd rather see him finally get a leading role in a major movie that's sure to make millions at the box office and finally give him that A list kind of status, so as far as I'm concerned I hope it's Guardians of the Galaxy he gets picked for. Although personally I was hoping he'd be running up for Ant-Man in Edgar Wright's film adaptation, he'd be a great Hank Pym.
