I was never a big fan.

I was never a big Lucy Lui fan. Mostly because of the roles she was playing --- Charlie's Angels, action movies, hot oriental chick. But she is really good in Elementary. Her acting is good, smart, and she looks good as a mature serious character. As opposed to being some kind of mindless sex symbol. I am impressed with her now. She is one of the main reasons I watch Elementary now.

She is the reason I want to watch Elementary. Is it worth watching?

OP, name me ONE MOVIE, just ONE, in which she played “a mindless sex symbol.” Even when she played a dominatrix call girl in the Mel Gibson vehicle, Payback, she clearly had a brain, which is what I infer that you mean by “mind.” Y’know, kinda hard to be a sex symbol absent a brain, given that the brain is the sexiest part of the body. Ex Versus Sever? Terrible movie, but she played a world-class assasin, and not a bimbo. You don’t become a world-class anything by being mindless. Do you think that Marilyn Monroe, the ne plus ultra of Western sex symbols, was a bimbo? JFK didn’t. Do you think that Mae West, who held her own with arguably the funniest man in history, William Claude Dukenfeild in My Little Chickadee was a bimbo?! I am glad that you’ve enjoyed her work on Elementary. You may want to revisit her oeuvre. So you know, on the Charlie’s Angels TV series, the girl with the black hair was always the smart Angel.

ElvenKing, to me, Elementary is most worth watching; and I am glad that I have.
