I kinda get what you're saying. I'm a wiccan with a xtian girlfriend and we understand the basic differences in our choices on mythology etc.

I think what's cool is that little girls growing up exploring their religious choices have a successful, funny, and talented woman to look up to. A woman who practices a non-traditional non-patriarchical (nor matriarchical technically if you're doing it right) religion, but one with balance and respect for nature.

Who cares if the magic is real or not, as a framework for morality, it's a pretty good religion, and your kid could do worse than picking it.

There's plenty of Christian and other religions represented on TV. Most Witches / Wiccans in the realm of actors just keep it to themselves for the most part, since proselytizing is generally viewed as wrong.

They're more commonly out of the broom closet in the music industry. Lots of musicians you'll find saying they are and / or wearing common symbols in jewelry or tattoos.

P.s. I'm no drama queen, but the last sentence / paragraph from the redhead above me sounds pretty melodramatic... I had wiccan dog tags in the military in 1982-1992. Went to the chapel to have ceremonies and got holidays off. Everybody knew I was, and it was just no big deal. Just because you haven't met a mellow, laid back pagan who laughs as much as you at the overly melodramatic drama club dropouts so common in pagandom doesn't mean we're not here. We're just harder to notice.
