When Chloe got any fame she was about the same age as Jen is now. It was no where near the fame that Jennifer has now.
Chloe has had average looks at best, ever, and is not even on her best day close to Jennifer Lawrence in looks and popularity. It just seems like she's jealous of Jennifer. ie - sour grapes!

My opinion of her remarks was based on what I have seen of her and her work, not her sex. The comparison of her regarding Angelina Jolie has little baring on how she feels about Jennifer L. Angelina has been called the most beautiful woman, my perception or opinion of her is not in question. I will point out that Jolie also was not as popular when she first became an actor/star. (Kinda making my point by Chloe using her as an example)
The motivation to make a comment like this has many things that can influence it, but jealousy is a very common thread in the thought process.
Chloe also called Jennifer "crass" which is in fact what the comment by Chloe is. Showing that she has no room to talk especially considering that she is 16 years older than Jennifer L. and should be wiser being in the actor/star spotlight longer.
I will agree with you that some private thoughts are best kept to oneself.

Possible logical conclusion also: Chloe Sevigny made comments about Jennifer Lawrence to make people talk about her and what work she has done and bolster her popularity.

Angelina Jolie is disgusting. She's "one of the most beautiful women in the world" perhaps according to other women, or gay dudes feigning interest in women. But I don't know a single straight man who digs her skeletal, vein-popping corpse look.
As for Chloe Sevigny, she literally described JLaw in one sentence, and she was asked about her. I don't see sour grapes or any obsession, just a throwaway comment in an interview that got blown up by every click-baiting PoS web publication.
Jolie hasn't always been super skinny. She's struggled with weight issues - nothing knew with female stars.
I agree about Sevigny's comment being blown up for click-bait. I don't particularly agree with what she said but you can't be expected to like everyone.
Not to mention Jolie's artificial looking face that smells of botox 10 miles against the wind (come on, those lips are in no way real) and the complete absence of any talent or skill worth mentioning (ok, she managed to get some top acting gigs going, but let's be honest, without T&A she wouldn't have gone anywhere, and her directing is abysmal on an biblical level, that WW2 movie of hers was utter garbage.)
