I think without the competition of Brie Larson last year Rampling would have surely won. I have made a compilation of the best actress nominees for the Oscars 2015. I would HUGELY appreciate it if you guys could watch it and give me any feedback at all in the comments :)

A case can be made for Cate Blanchett in Carol, who gave her best performance to date aside from Blue Jasmine. Brie Larson and Saoirse Ronan were excellent, too - strong year, with Jennifer Lawrence the weak link. But I’d have voted for Rampling in a heartbeat. Extraordinary performance - even when she’s silently thinking she is riveting.

Tom Courtenay should have been nominated alongside her.
