Rounders (1999) - "Worm", a reckless card sharp, is released from prison. He reconnects with his old gambling buddy Mike McDermott and falls back into a life of thievery and vice. Worm racks up big gambling debts, eventually loses Mike's trust, and is finally cut loose by his best friend. They never show what happens to him after that, but obviously his life of crime continues.

The Score (2001) - Having burned all of his bridges in New York, Worm flees over the border to Montreal and adopts a new alias, "Jack". Using his con man charm, he infiltrates The Montreal Customs house posing as the mentally-challenged janitor, "Brian". Here he plans a big heist with his fence Max and expert safe cracker Nick. The job goes off smoothly, but Worm unsuccessfully tries to screw Nick out of the score, and ends up getting screwed instead. With the police on his trail, Worm flees again.

The Italian Job (2003) - Now a successful professional thief, Worm has adopted a new alias, "Steve", and latched on with John Bridger's elite crew. He helps them pull off a huge heist in Venice, but once again attempts to steal the score for himself, this time succeeding. He hides out in Los Angeles, but is eventually tracked down by survivors of Bridger's crew and finally brought to justice after an elaborate cat-and-mouse game.
