Peter Jackson's Halo

For those who didn't know, back around 2006-2007, Peter Jackson along with Neill Blomkamp were developing a live adaptation for a Halo film. The short live action clips that were promoted for the HALO 3 game aka 'HALO: LANDFALL' were allegedly tests of how the film was going to look. Due to budget restraints and all the practical props that were needed the whole project was abandoned.

Neill Blomkamp later took the inspiration from the project when making 'District 9'.
