Apparently, people hate Casey Affleck. Why?

Wow. What a shock to come to this board and find all these nasty--and I mean, truly NASTY--posts written about Casey Affleck. That's he's a serial "predator," that he "abuses women," yada-yada. What does any of that have to do with his films or his being a movie star?

I first saw Affleck in Gone, Baby, Gone, and I thought he gave an amazing performance. Totally believable in every regard. He's never disappointed me in any film, from that point on.

To me, he's a good actor, perhaps even a great actor. I wish people would concentrate on that, instead of rumor-mongering about his private life.

The OP does not seem to get it the personal is political. Casey Affleck has a reputation of sexually harassing women BUT BECAUSE he is Ben Affleck less famous brother he gets a pass. This guy has ride off Ben Affleck fame and it has served him well.

Ben Affleck is a cardboard actor with no talent. Casey Affleck is one of the best actors today.

Had no idea of all the sexual predator info out there, which is never okay, I honestly came here to see if anybody else was as irritated by his seemingly constant and overdone Boston accent, aghhhhhhhhhhhh drives me up the wall
