Unlikely duet: Jamie Foxx/Streisand record together

Actor/singer Jamie Foxx released a tweet a few days ago, telling followers his life is 'blessed' as he had just finishing recording a duet with the legendary Barbra Streisand.

Streisand tweeted back to Jamie - 'so sweet,funny...excellent singer, too!'

The song they dueted on is "Climb Every Mountain" from the musical 'The Sound of Music', expected on Barbra's upcoming third album of Broadway music.

I am not a big fan of her 'duets' at all - for me the novelty wore off in the 80s when she went a bit 'duet crazy'. She should have stopped with 'Guilty' in 1980.

Personally, I have wanted a third volume of Broadway tunes since she released BTB in 1993, which didn't really compare to the original TBA. (I've always wished she did a Hollywood Musicals album, as well!) I would rather she did a solo album of Broadway music for Vol 3.

AS for Foxx, I'm pointing out he really did come far from his "Living Color Days" some 25 years ago. Many have tried to break out of 'variety' shows and have the success he has had, yet few have succeeded. (Eddie Murphy comes to mind...)
