Her popularity and her hair

Just saw her in Legends... on TV the other night. God, she was so beautiful.
I was browsing the comments, and one was asking why she suddenly just disappeared after being so popular in the 90's. Well, my answer is admittedly very superficial. She. Cut. Her. Beautiful Hair. Whether that was the real reason or not, I am not really sure, of course. But after she cut her hair for Sabrina, she basically disappeared. Coincidental?

No way. I think her hair looked great in Sabrina. She probably just didn't get many parts thrown her way after her initial successes.

She is very pretty and good performances. But maybe she took bad decisions.

Her Sabrina was great like Audrey Hepburn.

She was an "It Girl" for a while. She was gorgeous in "Legends of the Fall". I also thought she looked better with long hair. Don't know why her acting career faded and Julia Roberts' soared. Maybe because Julia kept her hair long and got all of the good roles.

The hype surrounding Julia Ormond was based on two things: the industry obsession with finding another Julia Roberts while JR was off on her strung-out sabbatical, and the fact that Ormond was Mike Ovitz's mistress. She's a good actress who has done solid work for years now, but she never had the makings of a real Hollywood star. That was all Ovitz.

Now r37 knows how to dish! Thank you and I almost wish you hadn't posted this because it's a big reminder that this is what the DL used to be like much, much more than it is now.

I remember that Sunday NY Times Magazine cover story on Ormand before the release of the ill-fated "Sabrina" and thinking, "Wow. It's rare for the magazine to have a celebrity cover."

Now I know why - Ovitz then unmatched clout and that they were bed partners. The story basically described him as her gopher, to boot.
