His Best Films

At the peak of his powers, not many were better then Irons. A bit like De Niro, he's now at the point of his career he's doing more films for the cash rather then for the art. But You can't blame him really and he's nothing to prove to anyone really. So What for you is Irons best films?

MoonLighting 1982 (one of his greatest performances)
Swann In Love 1984 (one of his more underrated works)
Brideshead Revisited 1981
Betrayal 1983 (not his best performance, but still a underrated gem)
The Mission 1986
Dead Ringers 1988 (without doubt, his best performance should have won the Oscar for this)
Reversal of Fortune 1990 (Oscar winning role, he's fantastic in this)
Kafka 1991 (one of his more underrated performances)
Waterland 1992 (Not a classic but I thought this is another of Iron's underrated performances)
Damage 1992
M. Butterfly 1993 (I love this film, not many do. Worth seen for Iron's great performance)
The Lion King 1994
Die Hard 3
Lolita

I got to say I haven't seen much of his work in the last few years, any performances he's given that deserve to be on this list.

Appaloosa definitely deserves to be on that list. Very underrated western, and Irons steals the show as the villain.
