Jewish, or Jewish-looking?

I don't know what it is about her but she looks incredibly...Jewish to me, which was why I thought she was well-cast for "Transparent." Is it the unkempt eyebrows, black hair and eyes?

With all due respect you're still wrong.

No one is saying that the term "Semites" does not include both Arabs and Israelis. Your mistake is in claiming that Arabs cannot be anti-Semitic because they themselves are Semitic peoples, but you've missed the DICTIONARY definition of anti-semitism, which is "Jew hatred." It's similar to claiming that Blacks cannot be racist because of the history of racism against African-americans.

You probably just want to separate them from Jews so it's more acceptable to be bigoted against them.

As I mentioned before, that was precisely the reason a German named Wilhelm Marr coined the term many years ago as a more polite way of expressing antipathy towards the Jewish people.
