Well he was in Hairspray, and that was pretty big. He's also been hamming it up bit time on the small screen in American Crime Story.

I blame his idiotic crusade to get battlefield earth to the screen that damaged his career

I like JT, he's a good actor but it amazes me how far he has fallen. His last action film "I am wrath" looks painfully terrible. So much so it makes a recovery impossible.

How can anyone take him seriously when he wears more make-up and a more obvious wig and his face is pulled back more than when he was in character in "Hairspray" ? He has become a caricature.

Hairspray and Wild Hogs were big movies.

Old Dogs and the Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 were big at least when they first came out.
