"Is my opinion not 'informed' because it is not the same as yours? "
No. I respect many people with whom I have a difference of opinion. Your opinion is not informed because you haven't seen his major roles. He's a versatile comedic actor. Someone who can play both Mr. Bean and Edmund Blackadder would have to be. You saying you don't like him because you've seen him "briefly" is like someone saying they don't like Marlon Brando because of Superman.
"would bet money that if I managed to sit through the alleged 'best comedy series ever made'"
Typical. Way to misquote me. I said it was "one of the best comedy series ever made." And I stand behind that. I'd put it in the top 10.
"and still didn't like Atkinson, you would then criticize me for actually watching something in which Atkinson is the main actor. "
Why would I do that? That doesn't even make sense. You come on this board and say you don't like him. I say you should see Blackadder, especially Blackadder Goes Forth because they would help you see why people like him.
My fault for not recognizing a troll immediately.
"I guess that I am 'uninformed' because I've got something better to do???"
Well, yes. If you want to troll a board and say someone is terrible but are too busy to actually watch his best work, that pretty much defines "uninformed." Of course, there's nothing wrong with not being informed about a particular actor, but there is something a little odd about going on a message board and insulting him, and then getting indignant when someone calls you out on it.
"Perhaps your opinion is 'uninformed' if you don't realize that someone else can have a different view of something than you do.
And once again, I respect people who disagree with me. I don't respect people who talk out of their ass.
