Actors you wish she worked with?

I was just thinking - wouldn't she have been magnificent with Charles Laughton.

Who would you like to have seen Bette work with (male or female)?

reply

Geraldine Page and Kim Stanley. They were all such great actresses. Together they would have been electric.

reply

Somewhat off track, but she told me she'd always wished she worked with Spencer Tracy; I think she mentioned Ethan Fromm

reply

She did work with Spencer Tracey in 20,000 Years In Sing Sing, just ashame she didn't do a few more movies with him, also James Cagney, they did two movies together but wish they would have done a few more.

reply

Barbara Stanwyck , I know they did one movie together So Big both early in their respective careers but they didn't share any dialogue together. It would have been great to see the two powerhouse stars together in a big vehicle movie.

Recently I've been revisiting a lot of Charles Laughton's work as I've bought it up, and I'm definitely convinced that he was far and away one of the best actors who ever lived. It has also strengthened my resolve that he and Bette Davis should have done something together. Perhaps a sort of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf type thing. A couple antagonizing each other through the years, getting older throughout. Something in the vein of her best work with Claude Rains - Mr. Skeffington and Deception. But with each as venomous as the other. What fun it would have been.

Sigh. If only.

Knock, me down and kiss my face.

The OP created a similar thread on the Joan Crawford board. But she posted it under her other ID, Anticaria.

Dude, seriously. This is a delusion of yours that I think you'd be better to get over. I have only this one account on this website and I do not post on the Joan Crawford very much because it is over-ridden with insane fanboys like yourself. Stop publicly slandering people with false details. Also, try talking a bit more about Bette Davis and a bit less about other users and your ridiculous ideas about them. It's childish, and it amounts to cyber bullying. Grow a pair of balls, grow a brain, hell - just grow up. Your beef with me is seriously pathetic.

I have numerous times extended the invitation to you to speak with me on the phone and settle the score peacefully and respectfully, but you consistently refuse and instead just behave like a scumbag online.

Another word of advice - USE YOUR IGNORE FUNCTION! Ignore anticaria. That user is a completely rabid lunatic and you're better off not seeing their posts. I have them blocked and IMDb is so much better for it.
