AWKWARD!

Thanks for posting. I have never seen this picture before and I thought I have seen every picture of Ingrid Bergman. And yes, it is awkward.

I thought I had too. There are some really cool pictures in that Corbis gallery of Ingrid.

I can definitely feel the awkwardness there, with Ingrid in the middle of her two men!

this is not awkward at all. Rossellini did visit Ingrid and Lindström in Hollywood to speak about the project Ingrid would do for him. He was also there to try to find some sponsors for the film. He stayed at the Lindströms.
This photo was taken during this time. It's true that later he travelled to Rome to speak to Ingrid and Rossellini. First, he wanted her to go back with him but Rossellini didn't want her to go because he was afraid she wouldn't come back. After that Petter Lindström wanted to take revenge on her and he never forgave her.

You have to feel bad for Peeter, I guess Rossellini was the last straw. According to Wiki, Ingrid had been straying for years. I only knew about Roberto.
