Some of you may already know this. Some may not. It looks like the Season 12 Finale will be back-to-back episodes on May 18th (8-10pm EST). I think maybe last year's final two episodes would've benefited a little by doing this. I wonder why they're doing it that way this year.

I don't know why they're having a 2-hour finale this season. I'm scouring my usual sites to see what I can find.
Maybe the CW changed something to the usual schedule? An additional week of hiatus somewhere?
I think May sweeps ends on the 24th of May and the finale would be on the 25th of May if the last two episodes weren't doubled up. That could be why they decided to do it this way this year.
shareYeah, I think this format would probably work better for this show in the later seasons with the way they seem to cram everything into the final 3 episodes.

I wasn't crazy about the last finale but episodes 22 and 23 were set up as a Part I and Part II.
The penultimate episode and finale probably follow the same formula this season.
VERY excited to hear this news!!! I love Part 1 and 2 format and it will give them a real chance to knock the ball out the park if they do it well like the season 2 Finale. Fab!

Didn't they do this will All Hell breaks loose end of Season 2? They were in two parts?? So do we have 23 Episodes and not 22 this year?

I guess we'll find out soon enough. I would prefer it to be 23 episodes this season so Supernatural has an even amount of episodes after this year.
Interesting. I remember Supergirl getting 22 episodes and SPN, Arrow and Flash 23 but it looks like the CW might have released contradictory information about the episode count of some of its shows this season.
