Eclipse lasting for 3 days

It's nice and sunny here in California, USA. I heard from multiple people that they heard the Eclipse would last for 3 days. I thought it was gonna be some rare celestial event I never knew about, nope, just an eclipse. I wish the SIMPS wouldn't spread around fake news. They get their news from Tiktok and actually believe it ?
