Meryl Streep - Sophie's Choice. I know 1982 is a long time ago but I basically meant post black and white.

Charlize Theron - Monster

Cate Blanchett - Blue Jasmine... this is the one that I think gets overlooked. I know she won the oscar but I don't think her role gets the iconic status of the other 2. What do you think? Why does Maryl Streep and Charlize Theron's performances get that status but not Cate Blanchett?

Kate Winslet in "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" is my favourite.
