All Movies I Watched in the Last Two Months Rated

I didn't watch movies much in June because I was finishing all 3 seasons of Dark, which was absolutely fantastic. It's a German series about time travel paradox and deep philosophical concept on creation. Fascinating stuffs!

Dark (TV; S1-S3; 26 eps.; 2007) 9/10
Belle (2021; Japanese; 竜とそばかすの姫) 8/10
Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness 6/10
Spiderhead (2022) 6/10
Minions 2: The Rise of Gru (2022) 5/10
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) 4/10
The Northman (2022) 5/10
Ambulance (2022) 6/10
The Policeman's Lineage (2022; Korean; 경관의 피) 7/10
All the Old Knives (2022) 7/10
The Contractor (2022) 6/10

One notable above average movie was Belle, a Japanese anime, which was beautiful, mesmerising and has great soundtrack. If you like anime, I recommend this wholeheatedly.

The others were eh and meh. Some of them, like Minions 2, Thor 4 and The Northman fell well below my expectations. In fact, Thor 4 wasted the potential of Chris Hemsworth that was very good in Spidedhead.

Too bad for Spiderhead, the production value were very bad, the setting felt like as if they're a 90s sitcom. You know, where they shot the show in a studio with mock house without walls on one side. Looked really really cheap.

I did not realise that the last two were both Chris Pine movies at first lol. Turned out they were not bad, with All the Old Knives being a bit better. The Contractor had, surprisingly, too much (unecessary) action, which confused the tone of the movie actually. Had it toned down the action scenes a notch, or maybe two, I'd bump my rating to 7.

Perhaps controversially, after watching those two movies, in my opinion, Chris Pine could actually be a fine choice to portray the next James Bond.
