Step right up everyone to the only game on Moviechat that teases your brain and calls upon trivia and research skills. The rules are plainly spelled out for all, so without further adieu...

Let's play a guessing game! I have a movie in mind and you have to guess which one it is. For each movie you guess, I will give a hint that CONNECTS your guess with the movie I have in mind.

Example of connections: Actor, length, genre, aspect ratio, language, country, year, director, writer in common, rating, number of votes, nominations. It can even be something like: both movies involve kittens.

- The winner can either start a new game or say "pass". In case of a pass, the OP gets to start another one.
- After 12 hints, the point goes to the OP and he/she gets to start another one.
- Movie must have at least 3500 votes. Otherwise, add a bonus hint.

LauraGrace dunks this here clown into the water tank by throwing a bullseye on Carny (1980), a popcorn classic with strong character performances as well as a combination of narrative and filmmaking style that makes you wonder if this movie was originally supposed to be a documentary of Gary Busey on acid performing as a carnival worker before Jodie Foster's character shows up to give him purpose. There's a certain verisimilitude to it that you don't often get from movies these days, and primarily for that amongst other reasons, I recommend it.

By the way, speaking of non-fiction, what's the consensus on documentaries in this game? I know there have been several recommendations before, but are they officially allowed?

hownos is a firm no. I'm a yes. The docs I have played all showed up using the Feature Film check box.

Funny you should ask, I saw a great one last night called Thought Crimes: The Case of the Cannibal Cop. Check it out. Not the no-brainer I thought it would be.

yes docs are hard to host, but so are foreign films, and the under 3500's.

i went in thinking one thing, because of my knowledge of all things serial killer, what did this sick fuck do. Guilty.

now....i think we dodged a bullet. These are the steps a serial killer takes,
before their first kill. But he will be under so much scrutiny, for the rest of his life, he can no longer evolve in that direction.
And what would people think if they saw my search history? or yours?
